I love drawing things from scratch with Paint shop pro, it doesn't matter whether something you've drawn matches real things. If it's spun from your imagination it makes some form of art i think. In this tutorial i'll be showing a few techniques, feel free to experiment yourself.

For this tutorial you will need PSP7

Open a new transparant image 500x500.

Click your pre-shapesbutton and draw an ellipse. Click objectselector and rightclick pick node editing. Add a few more nodes by holding down the ctrl-button and clicking on your ellipse line.

If you are pleased with the result position your petal and repeat the previous step untill you have drawn all petals or if you want to use your first petal for your flower got to Edit/copy - paste as new vector selection.
