Lots of people love them, but don't always know how to make them.

All you need is a picture, you can use mine I've rendered it in Poser 5, or you can use one of your own. Download picture here. Written for PSP7 but can be done in all versions.

No plug ins unless you want to add sparkles. I'm going to use snow on this tut though.

Here we go. Open your image in psp and resize 75%. Draw an ellipse, feather 0, anti-alias checked. Copy the selection, go to edit and paste as a new image. Go to image, canvas size and apply these settings.

Select your picture (ellipse) so you can see ants marching around it. Go back to selections and click defloat.

Apply a new raster layer.
Go to Effects - 3D Effects select cutout.
Apply these settings. Offset : vertical = 15 * horizontal = 15
Opacity = 60 * Blur = 30 * Shadowcolor = #000000
Click OK

Select your image again, activate your last layer.

Go to Blur - Gaussian Bur with these settings : radius = 7,00, lower layer opacity to 95%

MERGE VISIBLE

There the first part of your globe is finished and it should look like this.

* Save your work as Paint Shop Pro image *

We crop the picture just around the globe and hit SHIFT-D 2 times.

We got 3 identical images now and we are going to add snow to it.

Click on PAINTBRUSH and apply these settings, then randomly apply snow to each image.

Save each image and launch your animation shop.
Click on animation wizard, click same size as first image frame. Click next.
Canvas color = transparant, click next.
Click upper left corner of the frame and with the canvas color. Click next.
Click : Yes, repeat animation indefinitely and 35 frames/s. Click next.
Add your saved images. Click next and then finish.

Click view animation et voilà ! One animated snowglobe.

Save your work.

Of course you can use sparkles, leaves, anything you want for the snow.

Have fun !!
