Hi dear visitors !
All you need for this tutorial is PSP7, although this tutorial can be done in all versions! Remember to save often !
We'll be making this snowman. This is my own creation. Download my outline here.
Open my outline, hit shift + D to open an new image, close the original outline for further use.
Activate my 'snowman' layer and floodfill the outline with #BFDEF5. Take your magic wand and select the inside of the bottom snowball. Floodfill it with #FFFFFF, invert your selection and add a dropshadow :
Color : #BFDEF5
V = 5 - H = 3
Opacity = 100
Blur = 15
Invert your selection and add a noise : uniform - 4. Deselect.
Middle snowball repeat previous step with a dropshadow :
Color : #BFDEF5
V & H = 3
Opacity = 100
Blur = 10
Invert your selection and add a noise : uniform - 4. Deselect.
Select the inside of the head and repeat previous step with a dropshadow :
Color : #BFDEF5
V & H = 3
Opacity = 65
Blur = 7
Invert your selection and add a noise : uniform - 4. Deselect.
Activate my 'knoppen' layer and paint the buttons (see screenshot)
Activate my 'hoed' layer. Select & floodfill the middle section of the head with #000000. Invert the selection and apply a dropshadow : V & H = - 1 - opacity = 65 - blur = 7. Deselect.
Select the bottom part and floodfill with #000000 and apply this dropshadow : V = -1 H = 0 - op = 65 blur = 5. Deselect. Select the top part of the hat and floodfill it with #000000. Deselect.
Activate my 'sjaal' layer and paint the outline with #D44C02. Select the two sides and floodfill with #FCAC80. Add a dropshadow : drop v & h = 0 - op = 100 - blur = 5. Select the backside of the scarf and floodfill it with #FCAC80 and add following dropshadow : drop v & h = 0 - op = 100 - blur = 7, this one needs to be darker (shadow). Then finish off the front side of the scarf. Play around with some colors and shadowsettings. Of course you can pick your own colors :)
Activate the face layer and draw your eyes (see screenshot below). You are free to change the face expression to your likings :)
Activate my 'sneeuw' layer. Select and floodfill it with #FFFFFF. Invert your selection and add a dropshadow with color : #BFDEF5. V & H = 0 - op = 100 - blur = 5.
Merge all yer layers and your finished !
Now you are ready to add other stuff like treebranches, more snow, etc.
