Hi dear pixel addicts :)

All you need for this tutorial is PSP7, although this tutorial can be done in all versions! Remember to save often !

We'll be making this lovely gardentrellis. This is my own creation. Open a new image 304 x 398, transparant background.

Open a new rasterlayer, name it grid1. Download my outline.

Open a new rasterlayer, name it grid2. Download my outline.

Open a new rasterlayer, name it frame1. Download my outline.

Open a new rasterlayer, name it frame2. Download my outline.

Open a new rasterlayer, name it frame3. Download my outline.

Open a new rasterlayer, name it frame4. Download my outline.

Open a new rasterlayer, name it arch. Download my outline.

Open a new rasterlayer, name it sign. Downlaod my outline.

Open a new rasterlayer, name it signsusp. Download my outline.

Now you got the basic layout for the gardentrellis, save this so you can make it over and over again ;) Hit shift+D to make a copy of your gardentrellis outline and close the original drawing.

Hide all layers except "grid1". Select and floodfill one grid with the color of your choice, invert your selection and add a dropshadow with a darker color of the one you chose. Apply these settings. Repeat this one by one on all the grids.

Deselect.
Activate your "grid2" layer and repeat these steps. Same with frame1,2,3,4. Deselect.

Save your work !

Activate your "arch" layer, select & floodfill with the color of your choice, invert your selection and apply a dropshadow change your blur to 4. Deselect.

Activate your "signsusp" layer, select & floodfill with the color of your choice, invert your selection and apply a dropshadow change your blur to 10. Deselect.

Activate your "sign" layer, select and floodfill with a lighter color of your choice, invert your selection and apply a dropshadow change blur to 30. Deselect.

Save your work !

Now it's time to decorate your trellis.

Add a new layer call it "grass", draw your grass, like on the screenshot below.

Add a new layer call it vine. Draw a vine curling up on both sides to the top.

Add a new layer call it flowers. You can use flowers of your choice or download my outline here. Place them randomly on your trellis and arch.

Add a new layer call it leaves. You can use your own leaves or download my outline here. Place them randomly on your trellis and arch, then move you leaves layer under your flower layer.

Nearly there ! Save your work. Activate your vine layer again and add little stems on your vine layer.
