| Often i look at frames and i think boy they must be complicated but when i tried fiddling with them myself, it really isn't that hard to create simple stunning effects so here's my try at writing a tutorial for a simple frame :)

You will need a picture you want to frame
Paint shop pro 7
Glitter tile
Open your image and resize if necessary. Add a border "symmetric : 2" select the border with your magic wand and floodfill it with the glitter tile. Invert the selection and apply a cutout. "Effects - 3D effects - cutout" Apply these settings
Horizontal & vertical = 1
Opacity = 50
Blur = 5
Shadowcolor = #000000
Apply another cutout now change the settings horizontal & vertical = -1
Deselect
Save your work
Add a new border "symmetric : 5" Pick a color from your image and floodfill your border with that image. Add an inner bevel. Effects - 3D effects - inner bevel with these settings

Add a border "symmetric : 3" select the border with your magic wand and floodfill it with the glitter tile. Deselect.
Add a new border "symmetric : 15 select the border with your magic wand, floodfill it with the color you picked from your picture and apply a mosaic glass twice with these settings

Apply a wave : Effects - geometric effects - wave with these settings

Add another border "symmetric : 2" and floodfill with the glitter tile.
Save your work and the simple frame is finished !
